Saussy Burbank is entering the townhouse market by planting a flag in Charlotte’s up-and-coming North Davidson neighborhood.
NoDa's proximity to Uptown and the addition of the LYNX Blue Line Extension is attracting new restaurants, shops, apartments and townhouses to the area.
"I think NoDa is a great opportunity with the light rail extension," Saussy Burbank Marketing Manager Brant McConkey said. "I think that's really going to be transformative for that part of town. We're really happy to be a part of that."
Saussy Burbank's 33-unit townhouse project, dubbed Highland Park, will be walking distance from NoDa's business district. Highland Park is a tribute to Highland Mill, one of the original textile mills from the early 1900s. The development will be bordered by North Davidson, East 33rd and North Brevard streets.
Saussy Burbank described Highland Park as classic and distinctive in what it calls modern urbanism. Prices will start in the low $500Ks.

In addition to residential development, new commercial properties are coming online. NoDa Street Market is an adaptive reuse at 3629 and 3701 North Davidson St. The space was retrofitted to accommodate several new businesses. Crown Station Coffee House & Pub, Deejai Thai and Sherwin-Williams are open now. Divine Barrel Brewing and comic book store Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find will be opening in the coming months.
