RESTAURANT WEEK IN FULL SWING

We met over sushi and green tea this week with Charlotte PR guru Hensley Fontana?s Bruce Hensley at SouthPark?s Yama Asian Fusion. Yama is one of 102 restaurants now participating inCharlotte Restaurant Week, a bi-annual tradition designed to pull folks off the couch and get them into local restaurants. (The event, which Bruce promotes, runs through Jan. 29. Participating restaurants charge no more than $30/person for a three-course meal.) Here's Bruce with Yama owner Birdie Yang, who in a few short weeks will be attempting to win the designation ?advanced sake professional.? (There are only 74 in the world.) The competition is held once a year in Tokyo.
