Gas emissions from the nearby Minworth sewage works could help power the new 170-acre Peddimore logistics and industrial development near Birmingham.

The muck-into-fuel proposal is buried in the new Peddimore Supplementary Planning Guidance, due for approval by Birmingham City Council's cabinet on 16 April.

IM Properties said last year that it will launch a 484K SF speculative first phase at the £350M Peddimore development. A hybrid planning application has already been submitted and a decision is due in May.

IM Properties won preferred developer status for the 160-acre site in spring 2018

Work on site could begin as soon as September.
