Chesapeake Real Estate Group Enters Office Market

Chesapeake Real Estate Group has purchased a Hanover office complex from Corporate Office Properties Trust, marking the company’s first foray into the office market. The portfolio includes two office buildings, totaling 26k SF, at 1343 Ashton Road.

Childtime Learning Centers and Lyft occupy one 16k SF building while another 10k SF building is vacant. Chesapeake managing partner Jim Lighthizer says to expect more purchases in the office and retail sectors.

“This acquisition represents the first of several upcoming moves by our company," Jim says, "demonstrating our diversification into the suburban office and retail arena.”
