| Friday we thought we'd grab lunch with H&S Properties development veeps Marco Greenberg and Mike Ricketts. We ended up getting way more than soup and salad—that is, an exclusive tour of the new Four Seasons Hotel. |
| We snapped Marco and Mike next to a model of Harbor East, H&S' mixed-use masterpiece and home to the hotel (you can see it behind the Legg Mason tower on the left). Marco tells us there's an expansion piece to the original 16-acre Harbor East site (where the hotel's located) once known as Harbor Point: it's 27 acres zoned for up to 1.8M SF of development. Thames St. Wharf, home to Morgan Stanley's Baltimore operations center, delivered there last year and US Lacrosse is looking to build a 42k SF HQ, museum, and hall of fame, although Marco says it's too early set a construction schedule. The 256-key Four Seasons delivers this November. |
| Here's what the 17-story hotel looks like from the street. You can't see the ground floor from this picture, but it'll have three Michael Mina-managed restaurants. When multifamily market conditions stabilize, an all-residential unit Phase 2 kicks off on top. When it's all said and done, Mike says the building will be 44 floors. |
| Work started on the hotel last February. Here's the 5,380 SF grand ballroom (they forgot to put up streamers for us) on the second floor. There's also a 3,900 SF junior ballroom down the hall that Mike says can be subdivided into three spaces. Beatty, Harvey, Coco is the project's architect, and BraytonHughes did interior design work. |
| Nothing like a picture of an outdoor pool (on the fourth floor) to get summer started. Mike tells us there'll be a hot tub and cooling pool on the fifth floor, as well as private cabanas. |
