That's how First Industrial Realty East Coast head Peter Schultz yesterday described the industrial market. Demand from government contractors, consumer products, and third-party logistics providers is picking up, he says, though uncertainty about gas prices, consumer confidence, and economic growth means tenants take a long time to make decisions. Peter tells us First Industrial is putting cash into redeveloping some of its existing area properties to attract higher-finish users.
