| Yesterday, Rifkin Livingston's Alan Rifkin, who reps the plaintiffs in the State Center redevelopment lawsuit, told us the State of Maryland is only one of the parties facing a court order to hand over documents about its search for a developer. Alan (above, last July) says the state didn't produce any files by the Aug. 29 deadline (which we know surprised him because he told us nothing unusual would happen while we were on vacation last week), asserting that the documents are confidential. |
| Requests for documents are also due in the next few weeks for original developer Struever Bros, current developer Ekistiks, and anyone else who might know anything about the project, Alan says. Two motions were on his to-do list yesterday: ask the court to do something about those missing documents and dismiss the state's countersuit protesting State Center's delay. Ekistics CEO Caroline Moore says the development team has complied with deadlines and the slowdown is doing "nothing to help the city." |
