First Look: Mercedes-Benz Sandy Springs HQ

Here it is, ladies and gentlemen: The new look for Mercedes-Benz USA's Atlanta HQ in Sandy Springs. The company released images of its planned 225k SF HQ on the site of the former Glenridge Hall mansion at the corner of Barfield and Abernathy roads.

We broke the news last year of the firm's plans to move to Atlanta. Soon after, it announced plans to take a portion of a site owned by homebuilder Ashton Woods for its HQ.

Mercedes officials say the four-story building will be completed by 2018. Unlike its automotive competitor Porsche North America—which actually moved out of Central Perimeter in favor of a new HQ facility by Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport—Mercedes appears to be forgoing the bells and whistles at Porsche's HQ, like the on-road and off-road racetracks.
