Avison Young Buys Atlanta-Based Hotel Brokerage

An Atlanta-based hotel brokerage firm with some $600M in sales agreements has a new flag of its own.

Toronto-based Avison Young announced today the purchase of Hotel Asset Group, a 20-broker firm specializing in brokering the sales of hotels across the U.S. Formed by Keith Thompson (above) and Brad Sinclair — each with nearly 30 decades' experience in the commercial real estate industry — in 2007, Hotel AG focuses on single hotel and portfolio sales.

The firm will take on the Avison Young moniker and remain based in Atlanta, with offices in DC, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tampa, Orlando, Portland and Dallas. For Avison Young, the deal expands the brokerage firm's offerings into hospitality. It already has service lines for office, industrial, retail and multifamily.
