A Fortune 500 global staffing company is moving its North American headquarters to Atlanta, the latest in a string of major corporate relocations for the metro area.

Zurich-based The Adecco Group plans to move its headquarters from Jacksonville, Florida, to an office in Metro Atlanta by the spring of 2022, the company announced in a press release. Adecco didn't specify how big of a space it is looking for or where it plans to open an office, only stating that it plans to announce that decision by the end of the year.

Adecco, which employs 35,000 globally, provides human resources, staffing and labor consulting, and workforce training services. The new Atlanta facility is expected to house key leadership and support staff for three of its business units: Adecco, Talent Solutions and Modis, according to the press release.

“We look forward to building a hub in Atlanta where talent, diversity, technology and innovation are thriving,” Adecco Regional President of the Americas Corinne Ripoche said in the release.

Adecco moved its U.S. headquarters from Melville, New York, to Jacksonville, Florida, in 2014. At the time, the firm had 354 employees in Jacksonville, but it hired for an additional 185 jobs for which it received local and state incentives totaling $2M, the Jacksonville Daily Record reported at the time.

Adecco leased 135K SF of office space in Jacksonville, the bulk of which is located at Deerwood Park office complex, some 11 miles south of Downtown Jacksonville off Interstate 95. Adecco plans to keep its business services unit in Jacksonville.

Adecco is the latest out-of-market company to stake a claim in Metro Atlanta's office market over the past few months. Microsoft announced earlier this month that it intended to build a huge corporate campus near Midtown's Westside Park, including providing more affordable housing. Airbnb announced plans last week for an Atlanta Technical Hub.

Atlanta also has seen other headquarter and major corporate relocation announcements in recent years, including Papa John's moving its HQ to The Battery at Truist Park in Cobb County from Louisville, Kentucky; eatery Chicken Salad Chick, which is moving its headquarters from Auburn, Alabama; railway giant Norfolk Southern; and BlackRock, which opened an innovation hub at 725 Ponce in Midtown last year.
