Medical Partners of Georgia's Joseph Slattery (above, at Bisnow'sHealthcare Real Estate Summit) and Larry Unger obtained fundingand began construction in Dec. '10 on a 154,500 SF acute carehospital in Franklin Co. called Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center, an $80M project that will merge two local hospitals into a 56-bed facility. MPA is the day-to-day developer in partnership with NGTC Health Properties, an umbrella ownership involving some 60 physician owners, Joseph says. The project, including a 30K SF medical office building, is in the pre-leasing phase and will be mixed-use, with plans for a pharmacy and other healthcare-driven uses.
