TWO BIG BUILDING AUCTIONS

For perhaps the first time in Atlanta's long history, two significant Buckhead office buildings are  going online for an auction. (There is no better feeling in the world than bidding on an office building at home in your undies.)

LNR is putting One and Two Securities Centre on the market with Cushman & Wakefield's  David Meline, Samir Idris, and  Stewart Calhoun. The sale of the 530k SF buildings  will happen Oct. 9-11 on Auction.com with a starting bid of $20M, says the website?s CEO Eric Paulson. The two buildings, off Piedmont Road, are  74% leased and were yanked back by its lenders last year.

Speaking of Auction.com, the website has scheduled an auction on 55 Park Place, a 558k SF downtown building home to Georgia-Pacific Corp. Again, Cushman & Wakefield's investment sales team is marketing the building that was partially emptied  by GP during its recent consolidation. LNR foreclosed on the property late last year. Oh, and this auction, with a $12M starting bid, is scheduled for this Monday through Wednesday.
