THE DEAL SHEET

When you meet a couple of prolific industrial brokers for beers, you learn about quite a few of their bread-and-butter deals.

We met with NAI Brannen Goddard's Nathan Anderson  and  Darren Butler  last week at Roswell?s Taco Mac. They've inked more than 100k SF  in recent industrial deals, including Formetco and AeroMed, both  taking 40k SF at 3270 Summit Ridge Pkwy in Duluth. Nathan and Darren were tapped by Dallas-based Cobalt Capital Partners to handle a portion of the firm's  Atlanta industrial portfolio. Other deals include a  30k SF lease for Direct Technologies at 3100 Shawnee Industrial Way and a 16k SF lease  for Label Technologies at 1125 Satellite Blvd. ?It's been pent-up activity mainly,? Nathan says.

SALES

NAI Brannen Goddard's Ray Mokhberi along with Charles and Eric Piazza out of NY brokered the sale of Americus Village Retail Shopping Center, a Carmike Cinema-anchored 98k SF retail center in Americus. AJJMD Realty Corp purchased the center  for $2.5M.
FINANCE

Cushman & Wakefield's  Mike Ryan, Brian Linnihan, Jeff Walker, and  Larry Johnson helped  arrange $12.4M in refinancing  for Southmeadow J, a 209k SF industrial building near the airport owned by McDonald Development Co.

ACCOLADES

Ackerman & Co earned LEED Silver EB for its Marietta Medical Center, a nearly  100k SF MOB on Church Street in Marietta. Ackerman, in a JV with Marcus Capital Partners, purchased the facility last year for $10.1M. The MOB?s energy consumption is 100% offset through wind power  purchased off-site.
***
Atlanta-based tvsdesign has won the assignment to design the south expansion of the Nanjing Internationl Expo Center in China. The firm designed the original NIEC campus, as well. The south expansion will add a combined 300k SF of office, retail, and exhibition space.

Fifteen members of Cushman & Wakefield's future leaders group (above, can you ID the future senator?) and a handful of volunteers with Georgia CCIM recently rolled up their sleeves and went to work at the Atlanta Community Food Bank?s Product Rescue Center. The team sorted over 5,000 pounds of food, which will be given out across Atlanta.
