Speaking of Earth-friendly cars….

Atlanta-based Wheego Electric Cars this week said (in an SEC filing) that it's looking for another $5M round of funding. Mike McQuary, of Mindspring and Earthlink  fame, is steering (pun intended) the start-up. Wheego has already raised more than $1M and released the Whip, a two-seater low-speed electric car. The company plans to roll out a full-speed version later this year.
