SK Commercial Beefs Up MOB Brokerage

SK Commercial Realty has tapped a self-made medical tenant rep to grow its burgeoning firm. SK hired  Adam Butler to help fill its medical brokerage practice, working alongside one of the MOB legends of the industry, Tom Kirbo. Adam makes the jump after making a name for himself at Ackerman. Most recently, Adam helped Ackerman bring its Winn Medical Center from 45% to 80% occupied. Adam's hiring is the latest in a plan by Tom and the leaders of SK to beef up the firm (the merger between Kirbo's former firm and Scott & Associates). By the end of the year, they want to add "three to four more brokers," Tom says. (Always good news for the office softball team.) Already SK has more than 2M SF of both company-owned and third-party CRE, half of which are medical offices, including Doctors Center Four on the St. Joe's campus (above). And Tom says SK is hunting the Southeast for  value-add opportunities for further investment.
