Finally! The former Gold Kist office building in Central Perimeter may soon have a new owner. And it may no longer be an office building as well. (It could be a pool, or an art exhibit, or a helipad...)
 
We sat down yesterday with Binswanger's Jim Medbery, right, was with his boss Jeff Binswanger (what a coincidence he has the same name as the company) at the CoreNet Global Summit at the World Congress Center. Jim tells us that he has been listing the 262k SF,JBS Realty-owned office building on Perimeter Center Parkway since it was vacated by Gold Kist earlier this year (it's been on the market for $19.7M). But that may history soon. ?We've had a lot of activity and feel like a potential contract is imminent,? Jim says. While Jim wouldn't comment on the potential buyer, he does say it's aredevelopment play and even hinted a buyer could raze the whole structure and move forward on a mixed-use development. Wow!
