| CBRE's Leigh Martin (above) and Wendy McArthur have been networking a lot lately. We mean computers, not schmoozing. They've been focusing on Atlanta's burgeoning datacenter industry. Last year, Leigh and his team secured more than 125K SF of datacenter leases. More recently, he assisted NationalNet with its 30K SF lease at Datasite Marietta at 1130 Powers Ferry Rd., which included 15K SF of office space as well. And the pipeline (or would that be fiber line?) of datacenter deals continues. "From a trend standpoint, we see more activity out of Florida and along the coast," Leigh tells us, adding that many companies are looking to move critical datacenters away from hurricane-prone areas. |
