Major Investor Buys Hilton Garden Inn

Blackstone has made inroads into Atlanta's hotel market. (Or just really needed a place to sleep and lacked couch-surfing options.)

Blackstone just purchased the 193-room Hilton Garden Inn off Lake Hearn Drive in Central Perimeter for $18.5M, according to Databank. The group of funds purchased the hotel from Apollo Global Management and Sage Hospitality as part of a portfolio of four--including Hilton Garden Inns in Orlando and Denver. The purchase marks one of the most expensive hotel trades in Atlanta this year.JLLs Mark Fair, Adam McGaughy and Katy Reynolds brokered the sale.
