Upon our arrival, we snapped City Commercial Real Estate's Rick Lackey and Cushman & Wakefield local head honcho Mike Elting. Rick was in a celebratory mood, though that might be because he recently got married. But it's also a fact that the overall mood was definitely loftier than a year ago, when most spoke of only doom and gloom. Meet At has become an institution thanks to the work of industry stalwarts such as Fred Beebe and Brett Hunsaker, head of Grubb & Ellis Atlanta. Supporters such as Hines and Duke Realty have also played key roles. | |
We snapped Atlanta Commercial Board prez Alan Joel with Gwinnett Chamber's Alison Nalley Starnes and Duke?s Kerry Armstrong. Alan congratulated Alison on Gwinnett?s recent relocations such as NCR, but she deflected the credit to Chamber economic development veep Nick Masino. For his part, Armstrong, a big player himself in Gwinnett, respectfully requested Alan and Alison send some tenants to 3630 Peachtree in Buckhead. | |
While Meet At typically attracts reporters from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta Business Chronicle and other mainstream media outlets, last night marked a media milestone. Michael Shoer, founder of REAL CRE TV, which plans to launch soon, brought a crew and anchor Amy Henderson (only woman in a sea of men). |
