| ?Larry was just one of those really tenacious and really skilled negotiators,? says Cushman & Wakefield's Mike Elting of his former colleague, Larry Orr, 50, who died last week. But, Mike says, for the last 30 months, Larry (seen here from a pic Mike sent us) also got a chance to connect more deeply to his family and to his spirituality while he battled a brain tumor that ultimately took his life. Mike says he and Larry also connected since both battled life-threatening illnesses (Mike's cancer is thankfully gone). Larry was part of the original Apartment Group team acquired by Cushman a decade ago, including Chris Spain and Evan Jennings (who also died of a brain tumor last year). Larry was one of the city's top apartment sales brokers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Piedmont Hospital, Inc. for the Orr Brain Tumor Navigator Fund. |
