Larry Kelly's Harrison Ford Moment Remembered

The Internet lit up yesterday with the news that famed actor Harrison Ford was injured (thankfully, not life-threatening) in a plane crash (here). Coincidentally, we have our own commercial real estate celebrity who was involved in an air crash with the same model airplane that Ford was flying: a Ryan ST3KR. If you recall last summer we reported on how Pope & Land Enterprises' Larry Kelly sustained serious injuries when the two-seater WWII-era aircraft lost power after taking off in Coweta County and crashed. The pilot, a friend of Larry's, escaped serious injury.

Ford's plane crashed on the 8th hole of the Penman Golf Course outside of LA after taking off from the Santa Monica Airport, according to reports. We asked Larry what he thought of the news, and he sent us this pic of his August air crash. "It is a pretty clear lesson that next time around, it is better to crash on a golf course fairway than the pine trees of Georgia," Larry quips.
