Fresh off issuing Q1 office and industrial research reports, Cushman & Wakefield's Chris Shaner predicts industrial should be ?first out of the hole.?
 
We snapped Chris  in the Cushman lobby downtown. Why industrial? There's no spec development underway, he points out, and there are positive economic indicators, including strong manufacturing numbers. On the office side, he tells us he doesn?t expect any spec space to come out of the ground until at least 2011. ?There are still financing issues. People can't get debt even if they want to build, and the demand is not there.? When will demand pick up? When job numbers turn positive, he tells us.
