Hollywood Lands at Shannon Mall

A 345k SF film and TV studio is replacing an obsolete Union City Mall with the help of Rooker. We spoke to co-CEOs of 404 Studio Partners Ed Richardson and Brian Livesay, who say Georgia's tax credits for filmmakers have made demand for studio space outstrip the infrastructure. And that means there's a need for more purpose-built studios, a reason why 404 Studio is launching Rooker's Shannon Mall redevelopment, Ed says. The duo are longtime players in Georgia's film industry: Ed's past work includes being a writer for Turner Broadcasting's “Movies for Guys Who Like Movies," and he is currently working on a production of Flannery O'Connor's "A Good Man is Hard to Find."
