| We caught Forest City Enterprises' Jim Richardson, The Integral Group's Egbert Perry, and Cousins Properties' John McColl last week hosting a kick-off meeting for their Georgia DOT project to come up with a master plan for the famous ?Gulch? property downtown, a 120-acre triangle of railroad tracks next to the Richard Russell Federal courthouse. While no specifics were revealed, Jim compared the future of the Gulch to that of Denver's Union Station and San Francisco's Transbay Center, a transit-themed project that will fit into a new national passenger rail system. Dirt could begin moving by 2014. |
