Georgia Tech made the ?Guide to 286 Green Colleges? in part because it has the world?s largest solar panel roof connected to a utility power grid. Sitting atop the school?s Campus Recreation Center, the roof generates enough energy in ten years to power 326 homes in Georgia for a year. A total of five Georgia schools made the first-ever ?Green Colleges? list, which The Princeton Review and the USGBC released this week: Agnes Scott, Emory, Georgia Tech, LaGrange College, and the University of Georgia. |
