Fuqua and Batson-Cook JV For Walmart

A Walmart urban store is headed near Glenwood Park. Batson-Cook has filed permits with the City of Atlanta to begin land development of 800 Glenwood Ave, a 20-acre site that will be home to 182k SF of retail. Sources say the project will be anchored by the retail giant.

Batson-Cook has JV'd with Fuqua Development on the mixed-use project, which will include a five-story multifamily building, senior housing, and an office tower with the path of the Beltline running through it. While Fuqua's Jeff Fuqua, above, declined to identify the anchor tenant, he tells us the partners plan to get underway this summer on construction of the retail center.
