This morning in DC, we gathered together 60 top Association leaders for a Bisnow Breakfast with US Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts, who gave us a one-hour off-the-record assessment of national and legislative issues. Senator Brown, a Republican who replaced the late Senator Ted Kennedy, is of course one of the most talked about politicians in the country these days—and also now a best-selling author. Big thanks to SunTrust Bank, which has the largest not-for-profit lending practice, for also lending us the great space for this event—symbolically overlooking the White House. And to Jones Lang LaSalleReznick Group, and Robert Half Associates for providing the audience an additional update on key real estate, accounting, and staff issues of interest to associations.
