ACKERMAN SNAGS 245

Sources tell us Novare Group has awarded Ackerman the leasing assignment for its 245 Perimeter Center Pkwy, a 10-story, 240k SF office building that Novare bought in 2007. We caught Ackerman's leasing team of Gwen Wegman and Frank Farrell at the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors' Million Dollar Club awards last week, but they were mum on the assignment. When Novare purchased the building from Barry Real Estate and Rubenstein, it included adevelopment pad on which Novare had planned on another Twelve branded hotel. The Great Recession, of course, put a halt to those plans for the time being. Ackerman's president Kris Miller is involved with Novare's Jim Borders and Brand Bank's Brand Morgan in a JV called NoteSouth, which has purchased the noteson major pieces of land, including 14th and West Peachtree.
