ACKERMAN, MARCUS BUY MOB

It's official. Ackerman & Co, in partnership with Boston-based Marcus Capital Partners, purchased Marietta Medical Center(above), a 98,500 SF MOB at 790 Church St. in Marietta, adjacent to WellStar Kennestone Hospital. The group purchased it for $10.1M, as Ackerman's Kris Miller previously told his investor conferencemembers last month. Marcus used its Marcus Capital Partners Fund I, a $250M commingled real estate fund. This is a clear value-addplay as the MOB is 53% leased and Ackerman will take the lead in re-leasing the facility.
