New York

The city that has a little bit of everything will soon have its first-ever store focused exclusively on a red-hot industry.

Brooklyn Drones NYC has leased a 1,200 SF store at 315 Fourth Ave. The company is a retailer of drones and aerial photography equipment and will be the only store in the five boroughs whose sole focus is selling and servicing recreational and commercial drones, the Commercial Observer reports.

The store will also feature an in-store art gallery of aerial photos. CPEX Real Estate repped landlords The Kash Group and Jonis Realty in the deal, while Rapid Realty Cobble Hill’s Raheel Ahmad repped Brooklyn Drones.

The use of drones is becoming more prevalent in the real estate industry, with some agents reporting profit increases of nearly 30% after utilizing drones. All told, there are reports that drones in real estate could grow to be an $80B industry itself over the next decade. [CO]
