Bloomberg Buys London Mansion For $26.5M

New York

In a transaction that makes us all feel inferior, Mayor Michael Bloomberg is dropping $26.5M on his second London home. He was reportedly so in love with the historic Cheyne Walk mansion overlooking the River Thames, that he paid $1.6M over asking. Bloomberg already owns a mansion in Knightsbridge, the New York Post reports. The mayor was named an honorary knight in April, and apparently British conservatives are pushing for him to become a citizen so he can run for mayor of London. [NYP]
