|Larry (center, in an appropriate silver hardhat) signs the eight-ton beam adorned with an American flag, which was then raised 977’ in the air and placed upon the 72-story tower. The Fumihiko Maki-designed tower, at 150 Greenwich St, will total 2.3M SF and is aiming for LEED Gold. A quarter of that is slated for the Port Authority, while another 600k SF will be occupied by the City of New York. The ground floor, plus two levels above and below grade, will be used for retail. Tishman Construction is building the tower, scheduled to open in fall 2013.
