QUICK ON THEIR FEET
CBRE’s Russ Kempf, Joe Walsh, and Greg Maurer-Hollaender
We’d like to look this good after running up 1,576 steps—that’s 86 stories! Congrats to CBRE’s Russ Kempf, Joe Walsh, and Greg Maurer-Hollaender, who led the brokerage to victory in the 2012 Empire State Building Run-Up: Broker’s Challenge. The individual winners in the male/female groups: Cushman & Wakefield’s Myles Fennon at 13:38 (followed by Cassidy Turley’s Andy Bay and Joe) and Cassidy Turley’s Liz Rybas at 19:12 (followed by Savitt Partners’Sona Astoyan and C&W’s Chelsea Coppinger).

Here’s the Cassidy Turley team: (top) Andy Bay, Peter Buckey,Nicholas Woodhull, and Liz Rybas; (bottom) Michael Gadaleta and Jeff Ram. The “Cassidy Turley Stairmasters” team of Andy, Nicholas, and Liz came in second for the team awards. The runners joined 600 other participants in the 35th annual event, which was won by Thomas Dold of Germany and Melissa Moon of New Zealand, who made it up the stairs with respective times of 10:28 and 12:39. (We’ll never complain if the escalator breaks at one of the 53rd Street subway stations again.)
