EH, MOVING'S TOO MUCH WORK
1515 Broadway
Viacom, on the other hand, after teasing Downtown with its flirty glances, decided to stay put in SL Green's 1515 Broadway 'til 2031. It's a renewal of 1.4M SF until 2020 and then an expansion to the rest of the 1.6M SF of office space there. (Looks like Bisnow will be looking for a new NY home in eight years.) Just before the lease was signed, SL Green refinanced its $447M debt on the Times Square tower for $775M. CBRE's Michael Laginestra, Scott Gottlieb,Andrew Sussman, and Ramneek Rikhy and Shearman & Sterling's Chris Smith and Gina Love repped Viacom, and Haynes and Boone's Noah Shapiro and Russ Rabinovich helped out SL Green. This announcement came out the same day SL Green also announced it had renewed fellow media giant Random House at 1745 Broadway through 2023.
