CBRE Opens Smart Building Client Experience Center

CBRE announced the opening of its Smart Building Client Experience Center outside Milwaukee.

The 34K SF office building serves as an example of the firm’s smart building solutions business, and CBRE said it will use the space to evaluate technologies and help clients implement new technologies in their own buildings. Such technologies include equipment that tracks occupants from arrival on site to departure, and can adjust temperature, air quality and other capabilities in real time.

CBRE said other technologies on display illustrate best practices for Internet of Things design and network security, including the use of sensors that gather data to integrate building systems. The firm said it hopes to show owners how to best combine technology, building design and operations planning to optimize building performance.
