WeWork Continues Rapid Expansion, Inks Sixth San Francisco Lease

WeWork has grown into San Francisco's North Financial district, leasing around 70k SF at 600 California, sources tell the San Francisco Business Times.

The site would be WeWork's sixth San Francisco location and its first in the North Financial District. The co-working company also has space in Berkeley.

The company has been on an expansion tear lately, announcing new locations from Chicago to DC. In addition, the company is now valued at $15B, climbing 50% after Fidelity Investments reported its WeWork shares rose 53% in Q4 2015.

This jump puts the co-working behemoth neck and neck with huge commercial landlords like Boston Properties, which is worth $17B yet owns 10 times the space, The Real Deal reports. [SFBT] [TRD]
