Airbnb Opens Its Cuban Doors To All, Not Just Americans

Placeholder

After years of disrupting the hotel industry in the states, Airbnb is opening its doors in Cuba—and not just for Americans.

The homesharing site has been up in Cuba for about a year, but now the US government is granting special permission for Airbnb to allow foreigners to stay at its Cuban digs.

Airbnb has been going door to door for the year it's been on the island, trying to get houses to join in its homesharing community, ABC News reports.

The site's foreign expansion comes just as American hotel chains begin their own Cuban foray in an effort to tap in to the island paradise. [ABCNews]
