California businessman Matt Swanson acquired 1010 17th Ave S, a Music Row property that formerly housed Nashville music icon Buddy Killen's music ventures, including Killen Music Group. Matt owns an animal feed company among numerous businesses, and recently founded Riser House Entertainment, a record label, artist management and music publishing company. It will be the new occupant of the property.

The buyer paid $1.5M in cash to acquire the building from Canadian investor RDG Entertainment, and plans to spend an additional $250k on renovations and upgrades, the Tennessean reports. Country musician Mitchell Tenpenny will be the flagship artist for the new record label, with Riser House's first employees starting work at the beginning of next month.
