Site Of No-Go Development In Pie Town Under Contract Again

Placeholder

An almost four-acre site in Pie Town, on the southern edge of Downtown, is back under contract. Plans for a 40-story mixed-use project on the tract fell through over the summer. An unidentified New York-based investment group has a deal to buy the site at 825 6th Ave S, reports the Tennessean.

A 168k SF warehouse that's leased to Vanderbilt University Medical Center is currently on the location, which borders Metro's under-construction Division Street Extension and Bridge Complete Street Project. In May, Smithfield Nashville LLC, a affiliate of a Chicago investor, dropped its pursuit of an amendment to change Pie Town zoning to allow 40 stories, up from the previously allowed 20 stories.
