Entergy and ExxonMobil have inked deals to move into new office space at Lake Front North in Hughes Landing, a mixed-use development overlooking the 200-acre Lake Woodlands in The Woodlands

Entergy signed a 54K SF lease to occupy two floors in Building 2, while ExxonMobil signed a 26K SF lease for a single floor in the same building. Both leases are in response to the companies' growth needs.

The Howard Hughes Corp. purchased the two vacant former Chicago Bridge & Iron Co. Class-A office buildings last year to expand its office portfolio in The Woodlands.

At the time, the company had very little office space available, and these deals bring the new acquisitions to 91% leased. Arena Energy inked an 87K SF office lease there earlier this year to establish its new company headquarters. The company's overall office portfolio in The Woodlands is 92.5% leased.

“Our recent acquisition of Lake Front North and the rapid pace at which the campus continues to lease, demonstrates the strong market demand for premium office space here in The Woodlands,” The Howard Hughes Corp. Central Region President Paul Layne said in a release. “Howard Hughes is committed to serving the needs of corporations through office leasing and build-to-suit opportunities, and we are excited to continue to attract businesses to one of Houston’s best-performing submarkets.”
