Office Needs Transit to Compete

Denver Office

Cassidy Turley exec managing director Doug Wulf tells us that transit was a critical factor in the recent lease by payments processor First Data Corp of 98k SF at 5775 DTC Blvd in the Denver Tech Center, because convenient transit is now the lifeblood of urban office space. The location is within walking distance of light rail, and will allow First Data employees to take advantage of an RTD bus stop in front of the building, he points out. There’s also a Call-n-Ride service for access to other light rail stations. (An office without an easy way out is called a prison.)

The company’s taking the space for other reasons, of course, such as the fact that the space underwent major renovations, along with its 40k SF floorplates and large windows that let in a lot of light. Doug, along with colleagues Dan Miller and Whitney Hake, repped the landlord in the deal, while JLL’s Bruce Dodge and Dan McGowan of repped First Data.
