McGrath Inks Two

Denver

Fresh from his 11k SF deal with ad agency gyro at 1625 Broadway, we caught up with Studley's Jim McGrath about his latest deal: law firm Dufford & Brown just renewed and expanded to 19k SF at 1700 Broadway (below). And that may not be the only thing happening in his pipeline this year. "The market is healthy. There's plenty of demand," Jim tells us. In fact, he's working on a 7k SF relocation into Denver from Boulder with an unnamed company. "If we can find them the right deal at the right price, I think they'll move to LoDo." (So everyone in LoDo better be on their best behavior, stand up straight.)

Speaking of LoDo, Jim says there's real meat behind the hype about demand in that submarket. "It's kind of becoming the cool, hot place to be in Denver for certain industry types," he says. For instance, with gyro a creative agency saw the importance of being in Lodo for recruitment reasons. "A lot of [employees] are living down there. They're certainly playing down there," he says, adding that for creative firms, there's a certain "vibe" to being Downtown right now.
