LEASING

Entre Commercial Realty’s Brian Bocci repped Illinois Masonry Corp in the lease of a 30k SF building (above) at 1051 Commerce Ct in Buffalo Grove. The firm is expanding and needed to relocate from its Lake Zurich location to the Northern Builders’ Buffalo Grove property, which is closer to the interstates. Colliers’ David Bercu and Brendan Green repped ownership.

CONSTRUCTION & DEVELOPMENT

Liberty Property Trust’s development of three spec industrial buildings is on schedule: Liberty Corporate Preserve III, 10020 S Reinhart Dr in Oak Creek, WI, is substantially complete (Colliers’ Steve Sewart and Pat Hake are repping Liberty in leasing the 171k SF building); 430k SF Liberty Business Center North Aurora, 300 N Mitchell Rd, is on schedule for February completion (Colliers’ James Estus and Jeffrey Kapcheck are repping Liberty); and 236k SF Liberty Business Center Des Plaines, 333 Howard Ave, will be completed in May (Cushman & Wakefield’s Britt Casey and Chris Lydon are repping Liberty).

EXECUTIVE MOVES

Colliers announced nine promotions. Jonathan Kohn was named principal from EVP. He’s completed some of the biggest deals in the O’Hare submarket over the past few years and received his MBA from UT Austin. Jason Simon was named principal from SVP, a double promotion. He focuses on repping users and owners in office leases throughout the Chicago suburbs. Christopher Volkert was named EVP from SVP. The BU graduate has 24 years of industry experience and focuses on the northern suburbs, O’Hare and Lake County submarkets. John Basile and Brendan Green were named VP from senior associate, and both work in Colliers’ industrial advisory group. Patrick Turner was named senior associate from associate and focuses on industrial property in the O’Hare submarket. Gloria Valerugo was promoted to account manager from senior property manager. She has 25 years of experience and oversees more than 1.4M SF. Kelly Morrissey and Susan Houlihan were promoted to senior property manager from property manager. Kelly manages Tri-State International Office Center in Lincolnshire and Susan manages Oakbrook Terrace Corporate Center III.

Golub & Co named Stephen Sise SVP of portfolio management and Colin McKenna VP of acquisitions. Stephen oversees asset management of Golub’s residential and office portfolio, reporting to principal Paula Harris. He started with the firm in ’08 and earned his BA from John Carroll University. Colin plays a key role on Golub’s multifamily and commercial acquisitions team, reporting to head of acquisitions and financing Michael Goldman. He joined Golub in 2012 and earned his BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Pat McGuire rejoined Jameson Commercial as SVP, bringing over 30 years of real estate experience from working in capital markets, commercial sales and leasing as well as repping developers in a wide range of new construction and conversion projects. Pat spent 17 years with Jameson before spending the past five years at @properties.

Pine Tree Commercial Realty tapped Peter Skontos as property manager, overseeing the company’s portfolio of shopping centers across the US. He was previously an assistant property manager with Colliers, where he managed a portfolio of over 1.6M SF of office, industrial and retail assets. He graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern.

Bradford Allen was hired as the exclusive leasing agent for four additional downtown Chicago properties: 1 E Erie St; 120 W Madison St; 520 W Erie St; and 405 W Superior St. Managing director Steve Fitzgerald and associate Max Malec will be leasing 1 E Erie, a 126k SF Class-B property owned by Winthrop Realty Trust. managing director Andrew DeMoss and associate Reisha Vanterpool will be leasing 120 W Madison, a 111k SF property owned by 120 Building LLC. Senior managing director Craig Nadborne and associate Cathriona McGuire will be leasing 520 W Erie, a 40k SF loft building owned by Gamla Cedron. Managing director Sameena Basit and associate Christopher Rucker will be leasing 405 W Superior, a 50k SF Class-B property owned by Micro Office Solutions.

Podolsky|Circle CORFAC International principal Steven Podolsky was recognized by SIOR and AIRE for longtime service. SIOR made Steven, who has held the designation since 1975, a member of the SIOR Legacy Circle. He’s currently a trustee of the organization’s education foundation and a member of its International Advisory Council. Steven was previously awarded an honorary membership from AIRE for long-term, meritorious service.
