Pfeiffer University Plans Move To New HQ

Pfeiffer University is relocating next May to more than 26k SF on three floors of 1515 Mockingbird Lane in Park Seneca, just north of its current site. Grubb Properties owns and manages the Park Seneca building. HQ'd at 4701 Park Road since 1996, Pfeiffer recently inked a deal to sell its five-acre parcel, including the 50k SF building it inhabits and adjacent undeveloped real estate, to Crescent Properties. The sale is expected to close in spring 2017.

The Park Road corridor is seeing a surge of apartment development, the Charlotte Observer reports. Grubb Properties is planning to build 450 more apartments next to the Pfeiffer site, and across the street, Spectrum Properties is developing 260 units. Also on Park Road, Pollack Shores is about to complete the 273-unit 5115 Park Place. [Observer]
