High-Rise Next Month

Details are still slim, but we can expect a new high-rise apartment tower to sprout in Charlotte as   early as January. (That, of course, will happen if the contractor sees his shadow.) The project hasn?t been a secret, but until now the timetable  was undetermined.
 
Childress Klein Partners' Gordon Buchmiller (right, with Peachtree Hotel Group's Jatin Desai) told our audience of more than 300 CRE pros yesterday at the Bisnow's Atlanta 2013 Real Estate & Economic Forecast that his firm is expected to move forward with an apartment tower in the next 30 days. Gordon tells us it's still in the planning stages. ?We're actually doing some spec development for the first time in Charlotte and Charleston,? he says.
