The Harvard School of Public Health has signed a long-term lease to occupy all of 90 Smith St, a 40k SF renovated building in Mission Hill owned by Weston Associates. Cushman & Wakefield's Frank Nelson, Michael Greeley, and Joseph Pearcerepped the landlord. The 1888 building, abandoned for more than five years, was overhauled with all major systems replaced, new windows installed, and the masonry exterior repaired.***LifeYield has agreed to lease 7,780 SF at Two Financial Center, a relo and expansion from its current HQ at 125 High St. Boston Realty Advisors? Adam Schneier repped the tenant. Lincoln Property's John Miller and Jeffrey Moore were at the table for the landlord, a JV of Lincoln Property and ASB Capital Management.

Navinet has moved into 60k SF it leased at 179 Lincoln St, a relo from Cambridge. The healthcare tech firm, which has increased its workforce by 35% in the past year, says it will grow another 5% in the next 12 months.

Gymboree Play & Music has occupied the last 2,500 SF at the expanded 25k SF Arlington Village Shops in Arlington, and held its grand opening last week. Other major tenants at the fully leased retail center at 1406 Massachusetts Ave include Unleashed by PETCO, Panera Bread, Hair Cuttery and The Meat House. The landlord, Bierbrier Development, was repped by its own Casey Piche. Godino & Co's Tim Coyle repped the tenant.

Linear Retail paid $5.9M for 292-296 Newbury St, four retail condominiums with 5,716 SF. The units are on the first two floors of the retail and residential buildings between Gloucester and Hereford streets. The seller, Providence Real Estate Holdings of Newbury Street, was repped by Colliers International Lisa Campoliand Nick Herz, who also found the buyer.*** The Federated Cos acquired a 13.2-acre site in Salisbury 500 yards from the beach, with development rights to build 210 units ofmultifamily housing and parking for 422 vehicles. The Miami-based developer is studying residential and other uses for the land.

Construction

Commodore Builders just started renovating Bright Horizonscorporate HQ at 200/400 Talcott Ave in Watertown. Preconstruction work is now underway and completion of Phase 1 is expected in late 2011. Commodore is working with CBTArchitects, Vanderweil Engineers, and project manager Jose Luis San Miguel.***CMI Property broke ground this month for a 5,000 SF addition to the two-building retail complex at 780 Providence Hwy. Work is slated for completion this summer at the property across from the popular new Legacy Place retail center. Elliot & Co is the leasing agent.

The Gutierrez Co has chosen FHO as the exclusive leasing agent for 600 Technology Park Dr in the 1.2M SF Billerica office park. FHO?s Duncan Gratton and Michael Dalton will work on this assignment.

Real Estate Capital Partners has chosen the Cushman & Wakefield team of Mike Frisoli, J.R. McDonald, Ned Havern, andStephen Woelfel as exclusive leasing agents for 108 Myrtle Rd inQuincy. The New York-based US real estate investment advisor owns the 172k SF office property that's undergoing a major renovation of its entrance, lobby, elevators, cafeteria, and landscaping scheduled for completion in 2012.

Ned Collier has joined Cannon Design as a principal based in its Boston office. As the firm's New England leader, Ned will focus on the firm's college and university practice, working on marketing, client development, and project leadership.
