Jacoby Lures LA Company to Ya'llywood

The film industry continues to love Atlanta. Jacoby Development struck a deal with MBS3, an LA-based management and production company, to lease and manage its planned movie production campus at the OFS facility off Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Gwinnett County. MBS' LA campus already has long-standing relationships with Lightstorm Entertainment—the James Cameron-led studio that's filming the next three Avatar sequels, as well as Marvel, with such films as Captain America 2, The Avengers, and Iron Man 2.

Jacoby's Jim Jacoby says the 114-acre development will ultimately include six sound stages totalling 115k SF, 100k SF in production offices, another 110k SF in workshops, a 300-room hotel, a film school, student and multifamily housing, and retail. OFS will remain there, using 66 acres as well, Jim says.
