Vimo Inc (aka Getinsured.com) has leased nearly 12k SF at 2500 Cumberland (here), a six-story, 144k SF office building in Cumberland/Galleria owned by Granite Properties. Cassidy Turley's Glenn Kolker and Sonia Winfield brokered for the landlord, while CBRE's John Thornton repped the tenant.

Kuck Immigration Partners inks a deal for 14k SF at Northridge Center 1, a 64k SF office building in Central Perimeter owned by KBS Strategic Opportunity REIT. PM Realty Group's Scott Rees (here) and David Tyler brokered for the landlord, while Richard Bowers & Co's Chet Lacy repped the tenant.

American Healthcare Investors and Griffin Capital Corp., via its Griffin-American Healthcare REIT III, has purchased DeKalb Professional Center (here), a 19k SF MOB in Lithonia that's a mile away from DeKalb Medical Hillandale acute care hospital. The facility is 81% leased to such tenants as RMS Lifeline and The Emory Clinic. CBRE's Lee Asher and Chris Bodnar brokered the sale for the seller, McWhirter Realty Partners.

Could Columbia Property be looking to score on AT&T's cell phone coverage in Atlanta? The publication REAlert reports that the Atlanta REIT has listed the 1M SF Lenox Park and the 955k SF Lindbergh Center in Buckhead for sale with JLL. Both facilities are home to AT&T, and could fetch more than $550M combined, the publication reports. 

DEVELOPMENT

Is July 25th D-Day for Tishman Speyer? Numerous sources around Atlanta say the office tower developer has been whispering that it plans to break ground on Alliance Center Three on that day, the first new office tower to go up in Buckhead this cycle, and completely on spec. But reached for comment, Tishman's Jim Meyer (center) denies any such date has been set. “I'm not sure where that's coming from, but we certainly have not made that determination,” Jim tells us. “We don't have any of those dates set yet.”

Center for Puppetry Arts has applied for City of Atlanta permits to begin work on its $2.4M renovation project at 1404 Spring St. New South Construction has been tapped to for a new third-story addition to its existing facility (you know, to allow for longer strings).

Choate Construction has applied for City of Atlanta permits to begin interior construction for Atlanta Tech Village at 3423 Piedmont Rd. Specifically, the firm will do interior alternations on 1,800 SF on the first floor and nearly 19,500 SF on the third, according to documents. 

PEOPLE 

Cocke-Finkelstein has applied for City of Atlanta permits to develop a 28-unit townhome project at 841 Memorial Dr in Downtown Atlanta.

Alex Chambers (here) has been tapped by KDC as regional VP after a two-year stint with Jamestown Properties. Alex will help lead KDC's Park Center development, the 2.2M SF mixed-use project that will be home to State Farm in Central Perimeter.

Cushman & Wakefield has moved Atlanta native Jon Mayeske from its NYC office to Atlanta to head up brokerage service. Recently, Jon inked a 101,600 SF deal with Internap Network Servicers Corp and an 85k SF deal with MBIA Inc.

Cassidy Turley has tapped Ian Hughes as senior managing director for property management group, replacing Holly Hughes, who left to join Colliers International. Ian, who comes from JLL, takes over CT's 7.6M SF property portfolio. Along with Ian, Rosalind Rainge joins CT's property management group as well, handling Liberty Property Trust's 2.2M SF Atlanta portfolio.  

EVENTS 

Central Atlanta Progress wants to see if you can run the rails this weekend. The organization, along with Siemens, is hosting a 5k run this Saturday along the historic Atlanta Streetcar route beginning at 8 am. Proceeds will benefit Stand Up To Cancer. You can find more info and register here.
