Tudor Place!

Last night we headed to Tudor Place in Georgetown for its annual Garden Party.

On a beautiful evening, we recognized the achievements of its patrons. We snapped Insight Global’s Rachel Koch, Georgetown’s Darcy Nauman, Pier 39’s Mary Keaney, entrepreneur Kristy Akers, and US Institute of Peace’s Aubrey Cox.

Garden Party Committee member Sarah Kuhn joins Anna Banana Arts & Crafts’ Anne Freeman, and Tudor Place supporter Julie Devol. The party took place inside a massive tent on the south lawn and featured an open bar with specialty mojitos.

Tudor Place patron and Georgetown interior designer John Irelan joins Georgetown residents Terry Miller and his wife Noel, with Vertical Job’s Marya Pickering. Guests enjoyed an expansive buffet with Tudor Place classics such as Corn Pudding and Tri-Tip.

Architect Val Hawkins is bookended by his wife Sophie and their neighbor, the Porter Family Foundation' Amy Porter Stroh. A live jazz band played summer songs into the night.

The evening ended with the announcement that Tudor Place was recognized with a national award for preservation and collections care, which will be presented this June. Here, Sassanova owner Sarah Cannova joins Guggenheim Partner’s Dylan Glenn and Georgetown neighbor Cathie Martin.
