Yesterday afternoon we headed to the National Press Club for the launch of the Latino Victory Project. We snapped the co-founders, Desperate Housewives actress/political activist Eva Longoria and Texas political activist Henry Muñoz.
Sacramento mayor Kevin Johnson, right, who’s married to former DC schools chancellor Michelle Rhee, is with former San Antonio mayor and HUD secretary Henry Cisneros and Texas Lt Gov candidate Leticia Van De Putte, from the 2014 slate of Latino Victory Project-endorsed candidates.
AFL-CIO political director Michael Podhorzer, Nevada Lt Gov candidate Lucy Flores, and Hart Research prez Geoff Garin. In 2012, 12.1 million eligible Latino voters stayed home on election day; the Latino Victory Project is a non-partisan effort to build political power in the Latino community and get them to the polls.
